Dempster has had one good year and one bad one. Wood has the stuff to be a closer. Howry has some experience doing it and is pretty good in whatever inning he pitches in. Dempster probably keeps the job, but who do you guys think would be the best closer?

Dempster will probably keep it until he screws it up...:D
I like this though:
7th....Eyre
8th....Wood
9th....Howry
:D :D

Well I doubt Wood will be ready in time for the season, so I'm ruling him out. But I saw give Dempster a shot, and if he starts messing up, but Howry in for a bit and see how he does. And I have a feeling that's what's going to happen.

I am ok with giving Dempster the job from the start, but by mid-season I expect Wood to emerge and try to get it.
His stuff was nasty 2 years ago, and in the pen he can just let it loose. Persoanlly I think as long as he stays in the pen, he should go back and get that nasty slurve going again. At this point in his career he has nothing to lose.

Novoa.
JK. Hehe. I agree with the others. Dempster at first. If he stinks then Howry. Groom Wood to close, and by the end of the year get him in there. Ultimately i want wood as our closer.

I would like wood to close the games also but i think demp deserves one last chance and now that our pen is better he should be alright. If he messes up then we have a few options which is a great thing. This is woods last year to prove he can pitch, i think he will be ok just for the fact that if he wants to get paid again he better pitch or just call it quits. Theres alot to prove for this man.

I would rathe have Wood be just a regular reliever though, because you could have him pitch more innings per game, and get him back into being used to throwing several pitches so he could become a starting pitcher again. But that does depend on how he recovers.

I may be going to Millwalkee . When the Cubs play the Brewers in April . Maybe we will see Wood's arm fall off then .

After last season I don't think I would give the job to Dempster. Not to big on giving it to Wood either. I would say TBA maybe someone in spring training can show us something.

I say Demp at first and If he continues on the pace he had last year then look to Wood or Howry.
