Lilly did OK, just a run on two or three hits in three innings, but Prior had a rough go. Four runs on five hits, three walks. Looks like Miller might be the No. 5 starter.

The only good thing about Prior's outing today was his velocity was up to 87-88. He still has a long way to go.

Lilly looked good IMO and even Angel Guzman looked good. He was really locating his pitches well and throwing 95-97.:)

Just got back from the game. We left in the 7th. Prior looked like crap. Couple of walks, a handful of hits and a HR. Cedeno doesn't look like he has much chance of making the team. He booted a routine ball right at him and struck out twice.

He was 83-84 consistently last time and 87-88 this time.

If Prior keeps on pitching like this, i wouldn't want him in the bigs when the season starts. I would have him pitching in the minors. What do you think?

And i don't know what to make of Cedeno. He has shown promise in the past. But his inconsistancy is a problem.

I'm not sure they CAN start him in the minors.. Maybe start him on a rehab stint or something.. I still think that we're too early in the month to talk about that.. I mean, look around the bigs.. Zito even got killed. I mean, this is what ST is for.. get it out of your system.

Prior had better velocity but he still couldn't locate. I'm encouraged to see the improvement in arm strength but he still needs to locate. He only threw one good pitch.
