why not try him out? all there is are good things to say about him. sign c-lee/drew/soriano, trade jones for a good quality 200+ innings SP. take the money left over and sign another one.

he is not ready to man center field yet, probaly the season after next (2008). they will call him up in sept to see how he responds

yup I agree, he's not even close to being ready, he has a lot of flaws to work out still. Being a Cub fan you should know what happens when you rush a CF too soon lol.

Felix Pie is just floundering in the Dominican, he's shown very little pop along with high K's and he's worked only one walk. Last year his team Licey cut him because he wasn't hitting well, and this year could be no different. It might be in Pie's best interest to comeback to the States and work in Arizona. At the end of the Iowa season, we sent him to work on his basestealing and plate approach instead of being called up to the MLB, something he resented. He's definately not looking like a viable option as a starter to enter the 2007 season.:( :( :(
