Chasing October (http://www.cubsmovie.com/index/) (check out the site and the movie trailer!) is supposed to open in select Chicago theaters on March 23. There will be another screening for charity at the Music Box Theater in Chicago on March 19.

Chasing October" is filmmaker Matt Liston's docu-comedy that chronicles his crusade to take the Chicago Cubs to the World Series "by any means necessary." Director Liston quits his job and decides that by making a documentary about the team during the 2003 season, he can singlehandedly will them to the post-season. The film is a hilarious must-see that will bring joy to all Cubs fans.
Well. I suppose this would be a happier film to see if the Cubs had ... gotten ... those ... last ... five ... damned ... outs, but it could be entertaining anyway.

Here is the guy's myspace (http://www.myspace.com/mliston) page for the movie!

I may have to make a special trip to Chicago just to see this! Please, if any of the Chicago-ians on here get to see it, please post a review!

Okay, so i just watched one of the trailers...this is going to be an awesome film for cubs fans. Just in the two minute trailer, he interviews Sandberg, Wood, Grace, Sosa, Steve Stone, Bernie Mac, Gary Siniese, Hendry, Dusty, Fergie, Banks, that guy off NYPD blue (sorry, mind blank on his name, plays Sippowitz), ditka, Corey Patterson... asks them "What will it be like when the Cubs win the world series?"

On the website, he says that probably in May it will be out on DVD, but I think this is one of those movies you have to see on the big screen to appreciate!

That's Dennis Franz. He also played a detective on Hill Street Blues.

It says on his site that as soon as it is out of the theaters, they will put it on DVD and sell it first on their website www.cubsmovie.com (http://www.cubsmovie.com/index/). He said probably around May.

did anyone get to go to the screening? I heard it was simply awesome. The website is www.cubsmovie.com and they are supposed to be listing the times and dates of the upcoming screenings. It just might be well worth the trip to chicago to go see it!
