The cubs traded David Aardsma and Carlos Vasquez to the Sox for Neal Cotts.

Personally, to me this means another move is coming with either Ohman or Eyre being dealt for a SP. Maybe the Cleveland rumors for Westbrook?

Hopefully Cotts pitches like in 05 for us.

maybe we made the trade to use cotts as trade bait. If not he was good in 05' just hope he shows back up. I can see it now both of these guys will say during a conference " I've always dreamed of playing here'.

So, does anyone have any information on Carlos Vasquez? He was thrown in the deal for Cotts. I hope he doesn't come back to haunt us. We all know to well about the pitchers that have gotten away. And they all seemed to happen like this, where they very quietly are thrown in a trade. Only to become a solid pitcher for the opposition. .

But i do think it was a good trade at this point, but at the end of the year i might have to re-adjust my stance. we will see.

Vazquez was caught using steroids before he had good numbers, but we don't need players like that in our organization.

Not happy about losing Yardsma but Cotts is a good replacement. I think this trade is no gain or loss. Unless it helps us get some quality starting pitching.
