I was reading an article on Soriano on mlb.com and saw that bidding for him could reach as high as 7yrs/$120mil. Wow! I'm sorry, I like Soriano, but not for that much money. Plus, he might be looking for a full no-trade clause. Personally, I'm more concerned with having enough to take care of Zambrano later. If we can afford it, sure, but that would be quite a hit.

Yeah I agree, and besides I'm more concerned with Soriano playing centerfield and leading off...no sense to have a 40-hr guy to lead off just my opinion!

he doesn't hit well in the 2-5 spot in the order and 40 homers or not he's a great lead off hitter. He had more runs scored then Pierre and that is the money stat for a lead-off man.

I would take him, the money would be big but it'll be a bargain in 6 years the way these players are getting paid these days.
