The Cubs go for the sweep of the Brewers and Miller gets his first start of the season. Let's hope it's a good one.

Pitching Matchup:

CHC - Wade Miller (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

vs.

MIL - Chris Capuano (0-0, 5.40 ERA)

LET'S GO CUBS!!! :D

Just remembered I had a dream last night where Sori was hitting #5, I think Ronny was leading off...

Not a good way to start of the game when the Cubs can't hit the pitcher...

Apr 8th 2007, 1:30 pm
Yeah, Miller should have had the called third strike a couple pitches before that though.

And, another solo shot given up....

Gross HR next pitch

Cotts up in the pen, 1 out in 2nd

So, my question is why is Miller even pitching? With the days off early, weren't we going to go with a four-man rotation? Questionable move in my eyes especially considering the way the first four guys pitched early...

Wow, Miller is getting shelled right now. Gotta stop the bleeding here...

And Capuano gets an RBI.

0-4

Men on 1 and 2, 1 out

If history serves, 4 runs is way more than enough for Cy Capuano.

Apr 8th 2007, 1:38 pm
Well, the offense needs to help him out today. Hopefully Miller can settle down now.

End of 2nd: Cubs 0, Brewers 4

Well, thats over, Murton to lead off the 7th, rally time?

Finally, nothing the Cubs can't do in the bottom of the inning, right?

Maybe?

Yeah, he always tends to do well against us.

Maybe they can put an end to that today. At least we hope they do.

Well, not yet. Another easy inning for him.

I am putting a hex on Capuano right now.

He has owned the cubs long enough, and i am tired of this guy.

So, how long before the first person starts crying for Prior? HAHA Do you think Mark is listening whereever he is at right now rubbing his hands together and smiling?

Lol, I was going to do that about 15 minutes ago but i got distracted...

Fitting for Easter Sunday, huh? The Cubbies are laying a bunch of Easter eggs so far today. So, how do you suppose that a mediocre pitcher like Capuano can consistantly give Cy Young performances against the Cubs regardless of who they put in the lineup against him? I just don't get it.

How did Hub Pruett K Babe Ruth 13 times in 16 abs? It's just one of those things.

Holy crap, Barrett got a runner!

Okay, now the lineup that they have been saying has been built for this kind of come back needs to literally step up to the plate RIGHT NOW!

Is it too hard to adjust your hitting approach against this guy? I wonder why we never hit him. I wish they would stop overswinging against him. I wish they would go up there with the mindset of just getting the ball in play, and not trying to knock the cover off the ball.

Cotts needs to plunk Jenkins right in the back right here. If aren't going to win, we might as well make it interesting. HAHA Besides, I still want revenge for that crappy game I was subjected to last year in Wrigley when they clobbered us 16-3...

Well, so much for that. Good thing we have the GG shortstop on the bench. Make sure Cedano's feelings aren't hurt if he doesn't play enough...

Apparently, it was an E on DeRosa for some reason...

Santo is blaming Cedeno...

Is anyone else listening to the game? Does it sound like Santo is having more trouble than normal talking? Kind of worriesome.

Thank the Brewer's announcers for hexing Capuano. :D

They just had to say it, "36 scoreless innings against the Cubs." LMAO

No kidding! The Brewers announcers are a joke IMO. They were right about one thing, the Cubs strike in a hurry. This offense is way better!
