Anoter important divisional game today. Cubs desperatly need to take this series and start a nice winning streak. We are do to face Maddux on Tuesday so hopefully they can get in the winning groove because we have some tough games ahead of us!!! GO CUBS!!!

We should be able to pull out a victory.....the reds suck against lefthanders.

It has the makings of a pitchers' duel so far. Cubs have three No. 42s in the starting line-up (Lee, Floyd and Jones) and one on the bench (Ward), while the Reds just have Junior wearing the 42.

Yeah, just look at the sixth inning. Soriano doubled, Theriot singles him to third, and then Jones Ks swinging, Lee looks at three borderline pitches for strikes, and then Barrett flies out. Should have had a run at least in that inning.

I think its very pathetic that Lilly comes out and pitches as well as he did and our offense can't give him two runs and a chance for a victory. This team was built for offense and they have done absolutely nothing with the bats. All the offense has done for me is disappoint me. I keep hearing that its early, but I can't buy into that anymore. This team has been in games for a month and a half, they have had enough playing time that we shouldn't be looking at a 1-0 loss in the 8th inning.

Of course, it doesn't help that the umpire is giving the Cincy pitcher that outside corner all game long. We must have looked at six or seven called strike threes on that outside corner.

Sure it doesn't help but at the same time these guys should be making the proper adjustments to hit that pitch. For example, Theriot has had no problem with it at all today so why in the world are the other 8 struggling so bad?

Brutal! Wasted performence for Lilly. If you can't score 1 run at home? Shhez! Terrible game...

That went both ways. There were plenty of low strikes given to Lilly today.

our hitters just plain s*cked today. Period.
