St. Louis prevails 12-11, despite three Cubs hitting two homers apiece, Ernie banks and Dee Fondy going back to back twice and three consecutive home runs in the second inning. Randy Jackson, Ernie Banks, and Dee Fondy go back to back to back in the second at St. Louis. Later, Banks, Fondy got back to back again, but the Cardinals win in 11 innings, 12-11. In 1955, the Cubs hit three home runs in an inning five times.
