We don't need to worry about that now. We got out of that potentially deadly inning thanks to JJ. Bottom of the 8th and Rammy is up to bat. ;)

I don't know why Eyre is still on the team! They should give him his outright release and call up someone from Iowa.
Ramirez walks to lead off the bottom of the 8th. Get Demp ready!

I can't wait to hear what Lou has to say to the press tonight. This is getting to be a pain in the @$$ the way this team finds way after way to lose baseball games. Zambrano pitches well, lowers his ERA to 6.80, but can't get the win because that piece of s--- Eyre blows the lead in the 8th inning! It also seems we stopped hitting after the third inning. Lou Pinniella needs to get into these guys heads to keep hitting, keep scoring runs and get their heads out of their collective @$$es! This team was suppposed to be an offensive juggernaut! Why can't we get any late-inning clutch RBIs????? I know we got some yesterday against St. Louis after they took the lead twice (7-4 to 7-7 and then 9-7 to 9-9), but they can't finish! I don't know if we've lost one in a laugher. It seems we either win in a laugher or lose by three runs or less. There's a reason the home team gets the last at bat in the game! Let's take advantage of it, for Christ sakes!

Team effort today
The "Ace" can't get out of the sixth, even though the bullpen was stretched once again the day before (just like Atlanta) and shows terrible control. Now Rich Hill will have to go 7-8 inning again tommorrow.

Another question as far as that goes is why didn't Barrett start? He has had homers in his last three games so we will just sit him on the bench we don't need him. Terrible move IMO.

I just watched the report of the game on CSN SportsNite. Lou refused to talk to the media tonight because he was in a foul mood, and the hitting coach got into a big argument with the home-plate ump because the hitters were so frustrated with the strike zone. I saw the highlight of the pitch that DeRosa struck out on looking, and that looked a bit out of the zone. It seems the umps are finding ways to keep the Cubs down, but why does it seem that way?

LOL. It just seems that way because this team stinks. Bad teams will always find a way to loose.
This team is the worst clutch team in the league. No one steps up for this team when they need someone to. The umps do not have anything to do with the Cub's loss. The players just aren't that good.
