Nice to see that someone else is having a bugaboo in our division with injuries instead of us.

That could spell the end of their season. While they remain a higly potent offensive threat, they can not keep pace with a weak staff.

Carpenter was the star of their rotation, and I think it's gonna have the same effect on their rotation as Derrek Lee getting injured effected our hitters last season. Lee was the star of our lineup, and without him the batters crumbled. Without Carpenter the Cardinals have been struggling a little bit, but now with him out for at least 3 months, plus time for rehab starts, he won't be back till late August at the earliest probably. I think it all gonna go down south for the Cards.

They just announced Preston Wilson going to the DL, not that he's a big marquee player, but he is a role player and hits in the clutch. Yeah the Cards are in a downwqard spiral for sure. I dont see Mulder making a huge difference when he gets back either. If they are still playing like this at the ASB we can put a fork in them.

There's still a lot of games between now and the All-Star Break. Knowing the Cardinals, they might find someone we haven't heard of at Memphis or make some big trade and right their ship. Walt Jockety is no dummy.
