Just went on ESPN, and saw this (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2862088). I have a feeling he went there just so he could be a bigger hero, because as we all now, Clemens is too big to figure out which team he's gonna sign with in the offseason, he gets to pick and choose which team will make him look better. But do you really feel that he'll help the Yankees? I would say no at this point. A new pitcher seems to go down every week, so I'm still a bit optimistic, and the Red Sox seem unstoppable right now.

I'd say no. He may be Rodger Clemens, but he is getting old and wasn't as sharp last year. The Yanks pitching staff as a whole has too many problems.

The AL will punish the Old Rocket.:)
and now here's another topic that ESPN can overhype and televise every one of Clemens starts.

It was gonna happen eventually. It was only a matter of time.

It will help, but one pitcher who pitches every 5 days can't carry a team. ARod has seemed to slow down just a bit, but their pitching is in shambles.

I don't think Clemmens will put the Yankees over the top. Well, it may bring them out of last place, but the Red Sox will win the AL East this year.

He's getting paid 28 million. That's insane for a pitcher who isn't even gonna pitc the whole season.

yeah, i wouldn't pay him that for a half a season. He's getting old and will probably give 5-6 solid innings a game, which means they'll have to fall back on their bullpen they don't have.

It is a pro-rated 28 mil. That means if he played the entire year he would get that money. Instead they split it up by months which equals out to 4.5 million a month. Still a rediculous ammount of money, but this is the Yankees we are talking about.

Clemens in that rotation does help. The Yankee pitching is a mess, but they've has injuries. Pettitte was dominant for them last night. Pettitte, Mussina, & Wang, along with Clemens is a tough rotation. You put those for with thir offense a cooler ARod is still hitting over .350, his power has calmed down. Until proven differently, I don't think you can count out the Yankees.
Their bullpen is an entirely different story, and is worse then ours.
