Sanchez works a full count, grounds to Ramirez to retire the side, but the Pirates score one run, one hit, one error and two left.
Middle 15th, Pirates 4, Cubs 3
Due up for the Cubs, Theriot, Lee and Ramirez.

Ron just said the guy who is coming into pitch for the Pirates is hittable, so our guys need to just take some pitches, be patient, and play like they did on Sunday.

Not only the bullpen, there were SO many times that the Cubs had runners in scoring position and just couldn't get it done.... they showed no patience at the plate tonight.... not to mention some pretty lame baserunning mistakes tonight, too....

Ramirez is the last chance for the Cubs. The first pitch is inside, ball one. The 1-0 is swung on and missed. Another swing and miss, 1-2. Strike out swinging. Game over. :(

The Riot was just named the Chevy Player of the Game by Ron Santo, and then he said "that's all I have to say about the game".

I don't blame Ronnie for cutting off his comments. I'll bet what he was thinking about saying would warrant a hefty fine by the FCC.

Okay, just saw it on Comcast.... he is P*$$ed! "We had a PLETHERA of wasted opportunities."...and after about a total of a 50 word statement about the game, he says "thanks" and gets up and walks out of the press room.
I also got to see the highlights of some of the incredible plays (again, thanks to the dreaded WCIU, I had to listen to it on the radio), and Soriano's throw, awesome...Theriot's double play was incredible.
Also, I think I'm thankful for selfish reasons, they did say that Zambrano was in the bullpen in the 15th inning if it had gone any further....which would have scratched his start on Thursday! (This will be the first time I will get to watch Zambrano pitch!)

Do you guys remember the 18 inning marathon last August in Houston?
Yeah, I stayed up and watched that whole damn game...
I think I am still tired from it...
