You guys can go ahead and over-analyze each individual player and each individual play all you want. I am going to come out and say it. THIS TEAM SUCKS! Until they change about 75% of the aspects of their game, they will continue to suck. And I hate to tell you this, but it is only going to get worse because Hill and Marquis did not look real sharp in their last starts tonight and last Friday. It coulda been a little hiccup for the both of them, but we'll see. If they go to pot this team will be all alone in last by next week. They are all going to try to start pitching complete games because the bullpen can't hold a lead and will all be burned out by the all-star break. You saw what happened last year when this team had only one good pitcher and who's to say Lilly will stay this good. Hell, they can't even score any runs for the poor guy. It's demoralizing to a starter to have to turn his game over to a bullpen that will probably blow the lead.

CF- JONES- 27 HRS LAST YR- SOLID PLAYER NOT A CF
LF- SORIANO- TOP 5 PLAYER IN THE GAME

dEROSA- CAN PLAY ANYWHERE
BLANCO- GOOD DEFENSIVE BACK UP
pAGAN- FAST, GOOD DEFENSE
Pitching-
Z- a horse going through some problems
hill- up and coming star
Lilly- very underated

Very good on paper, as you said. But what counts is how they play between the white lines. And right now, that isn't very good. I think that is the reasosn this is so frustrating for me. The potential is there... the numbers are there. The wins aren't because they are not taking advantage of certain situations and end up beating themselves rather than letting the other teams beat them.

Nail.....Head!!! I'm soooo frustrated right now. I just get off work and check the score and see that yet AGAIN the bullpen stinks it up, I'm with Lou, lets go down on the farm and find some guys who can pitch.

The wins aren't there because we're not playing good baseball. When you can't throw a guy out at 2nd on a pitchout, you deserve to lose. I don't care how fast Reyes is, a good throw by Blanco, Eyes is out, inning over,to the top of the 10.
There are times we don't take advantage of thngs but more often then not we're beating ourselves with sloppy play.

I used the term in the gamethread, but it is true.... Consistently inconsistent.

Why don't you be like every other foolish fan and jump onto another bandwagon? I like constructive ideas, not explosively "flavor of the moment" ideas. I agree that tonights game was on the bad side but it strikes me in a odd way. People who were praising Lou yesterday for managing a good game now bash him for tonights game. I use to ask myself "Why was Dusty run out of town?", now I can really see why. Asking a manager to turn around a losing team and loser fans in 2 months is a bit much.

Anyway, can't a opposing pitcher pitch a good game? I guess not:mad: . Why do fans of other teams make fun of us for whining all the time?

It all comes down to one word: FUNDAMENTALS. Until we learn those we will continue to struggle!

So, you realize you just lumped yourself in with the "loser fans" as you so eloquently described them? Maybe since you are so content with mediocrity and a sub .500 baseball team, then you should be the one to jump "bandwagons". The Royals seem like a good fit for you and I think there are still some tickets available in KC. Now enough with the personal attacks because some of us don't conform to your sunshine and bubbles outlook on this baseball team.
