Mike North on 670 the Score (http://www.670thescore.com/) went rounds with Ozzie Guillen Friday morning. It all started with AJ was doing his segment on the Score, and was upset because he wasn't in the lineup for the Cubs/Sox game and feels like he is being platooned with back up catcher Toby Hall.
North then was interviewing Bob Brenly and Ozzie, who was listening to the Score, calls the show, they immediately put him on air...BAD MISTAKE, as I am sure they may be looking at FCC fines, he dropped the F bomb and many other words on live radio. North then went completely ballistic on Ozzie... Ozzie hangs up on him.
If you want to hear the segment, click here! (http://www.670thescore.com/play_window.php?audioType=Episode&audioId=732710) Keep in mind, this is edited, but on the live radio this morning, they didn't get a chance to edit the words out!
The AJ interview part (as he whines) about not getting to play against the Cubs is here (http://www.670thescore.com/play_window.php?audioType=Episode&audioId=732324)
Now, I'm not a huge fan of Mike North, as he can be as big of an a$$ as Ozzie can be, but he was able to do something that many people have wanted to do, but couldn't....SHUT OZZIE UP!

I'm so glad he said that stuff about not talking down to him and not treating him like one of his players. I don't see how they can still have any players on the sox...30 seconds of Ozzie makes me want to rip my ear drums out! Whether or not Ozzie fully comprehended the English I don't know, but it's about time someone told that low-life, jerky, pig-headed, ugly, annoying, loser, scoundrel who will never amount to anything productive in life because of that kind of attitude, who's boss!
It's just like the fans at school. I had on all my Cubs stuff today, and the sox fans jumped right on me. They said some stuff about our loss yesterday and the world series and sosa and then they were out. I did my "homework" and came to school prepared with a ton of comebacks that I know would shut them up. Sure enough, after I said one comeback to this one guy, he said "man, you're good. I don't have a comeback, you guys just suck." They don't know any facts and can only resort to mean words, just like Ozzie. Or end up hanging up or walking away because they can dish it out, but they can't take it.
I have a theroy: Most Cubs fans are decent and most sox fans are cavemen.
And I've noticed that more Cubs fans are smart and more sox fans don't pass. And more sox fans have absolutely awful language, just like Ozzie. I feel sorry for these little kids who go to sox games and are around all that negative energy. You feel safe and happy at Wrigley, like you just met 40,000 long-distant cousins. It showed a couple getting engaged, the girl was Cubs and the guy was sox. I'd rather become a nun than marry a south sider, and I'm not even Catholic.

That is hilalrious! One of my best friends is a Cub fan...she married a Cardinal fan! Yikes!
Great job sticking it to the Sux fans at school!

Oh I couldn't do a mixed marriage like that...lol. Its bad enough my best friend is a Sux fan. I couldn't imagine being married to one. Thats as bad my wife's family is Packer backers and mine being Bears fans I told her if we ever have a family reunion during a Bears/Packers game you best sit on my side...lol. As for Ozzie he is a putz!! I don't know why he is even a manager in the big leagues, what a tool.

The Suntimes had this:
Four words banned by the FCC, three hugs, two yelling incidents and one security guard being told to ''get A.J. the [expletive] out of my office.''
And that was all before 11 a.m. on Friday.

Meanwhile, across town in a restaurant called Hash Browns sat White Sox general manager Ken Williams, peacefully having breakfast and enjoying his morning cappuccino, oblivious to the chaos ensuing on the airwaves and in the Wrigley Field visiting clubhouse.
That is, until the call came.
''Scott Reifert [Sox vice president of communications] calls and gives me the details,'' Williams said. ''So I asked him, 'Did anybody get punched?' He said, 'Nope,' so I figure we're already ahead of the game.''
''The details'' started when Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski phoned in for an interview with Mike North on The Score (670-AM) and was asked about his disappointment in not starting the opening game against the Cubs.
''Of course I'm disappointed, you kidding me?'' Pierzynski responded. ''I'm not aggravated. I'm just surprised by the fact that I'm not playing. ... This is a big series, and I like to play in big series.''
Pierzynski was also asked if he was now in a platoon situation with backup catcher Toby Hall, who returned this week from the 15-day disabled list. Pierzynski said a bit sarcastically, ''Everyone is telling me that.''
Sox manager Ozzie Guillen was on his way to Wrigley Field in his car, heard the interview and called in, infuriated -- not only because the word ''platoon'' was being used after the club told Pierzynski on several occasions since the Hall signing that he was the No. 1 catcher, but because North was questioning his lineup.
North -- not one to back down -- took Guillen's call live on the show, and the ''dump'' button used to edit profanity was tested with the Sox skipper. It lost.
''Oh, shut the [expletive] up. ... There's no reason you guys try making lineups and [expletive] on the air,'' Guillen said to North.
North warned Guillen they were on the air and he needed to clean up the language. When Guillen didn't, Chicago radio history was made.
Shortly after North yelled, ''While you're talking on the air, you respect me!'' Guillen hung up.
Word of the on-air fight got back to Pierzynski, who tried to speak to Guillen in his office. Guillen wanted none of that and yelled to a security guard to ''get A.J. the [expletive] out of my office.''
It wasn't until North showed up in the clubhouse that sanity returned.
North met with both Guillen and Pierzynski, and left hoping that it was all cleared up.
''I give my opinions,'' North said. ''I like Ozzie Guillen and think he has been great for the team and the city. But you know what? I don't play for him. I'm not Juan Uribe. You don't talk down to me, that's the bottom line.''
During the team stretch, Guillen approached Pierzynski and cleared the air with his catcher.
''I don't say A.J. [disrespected] me, but comments about how he doesn't want to be a platoon player? He's not a platoon player,'' Guillen said. ''He's my first catcher.
''It's nothing against A.J. He's my friend. Now, it's over with.''
That was the hope of Pierzynski, who will now weigh making his weekly appearance on the North show.
''Ozzie and I are fine,'' Pierzynski said. ''That's the biggest thing -- that Ozzie and I know where we stand with each other, and I have nothing but respect for Ozzie, and what happened this morning was just a misunderstanding.''
As for Williams, he said he talked to Guillen about the language that was used on the air and his disapproval of it, but added, ''If you say the names Ozzie Guillen, A.J. Pierzynski and Mike North, The Score is lucky that the station didn't blow up with all the electricity in that group. The only thing that would have made it more entertaining is if Lou Piniella would have gotten involved somehow.''
Give it time. There's still two more games.
I still wonder if there won't be some major FCC fines, and if Mike North would have to pay them or if Ozzie would have to put his money where his mouth is on this one.

I'm sure the FCC will fine both of them. Probably the radio station for putting im on without warning him about some thing, and Mike North for exploding a bit as well. I'm pretty sure the FCC can fine Ozzy, but if not, I'm sure the radio station will. I should probably know more about this since I do work at my school's radio station, but I don't. But you can expect some major fines comming towards someone.

I don't know if the FCC will fine Ozzie either, but MLB will.

My friend was over and she's a sox fan and never really watches baseball, but we were watching the game today. She asked me today, "Is Wrigley in the better part of town?" I said yes. "Ozzie's a real jerk and an a-hole, right?" And again I said yes. And then music to my ears- "I think I'm gonna be a Cubs fan. I don't want to support Ozzie." I gave her a high 5, said welcome to the good side!
