Interesting idea, but hasn't this pretty much been tried before? If they are going to try to make it work, they definitely have to play during the spring and summer when the NFL season isn't going on. That will give them the best way to compete. I still think Cuban should try to take over the Cubs though. :D

Yeah, I guess Cuban won't be buying the Cubs.

Remember the XFL? I don't think they even played an entire season.

Yeah Doba, the only thing that came out of the XFL was "He Hate Me" (aka Rod Smart). Good luck to Cuban on this one, but it's going to be very tough making this successful.

Actually, there were a few other players in the XFL that had a productive career in the NFL. I can't think of the guy's name off the top of my head, but the quarterback of the L.A. team that won the XFL's only championship was the quarterback of the Steelers for a couple years before Roethlisberger took over. Wait, it's Tommy Maddox!

I think if they used it as a minor league to the NFL it might work alright. Connect each team to a pro team like MLB and have the ability to have call ups.
