Good work if you can get it!
It's so weird that you can't gamble in most of the US though... whats up with that?
dc - who bet on a coin toss last night, and lost. what are the odds!

You see, Dundee, the U.S. was founded on some puritanical ideals, and gambling is frowned upon for the most part. Sports betting is illegal except in Nevada and Atlantic City. Of course, there are casinos all over the country nowadays, but they're mostly for all other forms of gambling except sports books. The only legal sports books are where I mentioned, and you must place the bets there, and you can't go through a bookie. That's a violation of wire laws.

i should be more clear when i'm being sarcastic (and, in this case, condescending)... thought to be fair, the sports book part was a detail i was unaware of which is me told.
i also have a bet on the outcome of the danish general election. i love being british...

Andruw Jones had to really range from right-center to catch a fly ball to left-center by Theriot.
VanMan
Jun 7th 2007, 7:27 pm
Izturis grounded to short for the third out.
VanMan
Jun 7th 2007, 7:37 pm
I guess Andruw Jones had a double and got to third on a sac fly, but he was stranded there.

I was on the phone when the final out was made. It's too early for political phone calls.

Hill's making the Braves look silly with that curveball for the out. The Braves commentators are pretty freaked with his 10 ks :D

Dempster works a 1-2-3 inning to get the save, all on ground balls. Cubs win, 2-1, and gain a half-game on the Brewers! Third time all year, first time on the road, we've won a one-run game.
