Nice to see them playing the kind of baseball we've been expecting. Knew it had to come out some time.

The Cubs just need to continue the play they've been doing of late, and then we'll see them atop the division.

What I like now is they are not beating themselves. We are seeing smarter baseball... except maybe the ball falling on the mound the other night with 5 Cubs around it, they are playing with their heads and their bats lately. That was probably the most frustrating thing in the first part of the season is the fact they were beating themselves. Now, the bats are warming up, allowing less pressure on the starting pitchers, which, in turn, doesn't add as much pressure on the bullpen to be perfect. What is really nice, is one of our "big guys" is out, and the depth that Hendry kind of "overbuilt" for us is starting to show it's benefits.

Today, Fontenot was called up. So, perhaps tonight we will see him at third, Theriot at Short, DeRosa at second.... and Izturis on the bench.

I'm loving it. I think last week/weekends events have lit a fire, I just hope they can keep it going and that I didn't just jinx them!!!

I think Lou took the burden off them by placing the focus on him. Regardless of the cause i am glad to see them playing to their potential.
