He hit number 600 against us tonight.
Wanna get him back and give back Hariston (When we had him), Fontenot, and whoever that other guy was?

As much as I appreciate Sammy Sosa and what he has done for baseball, I'd keep Fontenet. Sammy's toward the end of his career, Fontenet's is just beginning as long as he keeps playing at this level.
Congrats to Sammy, I'm kind of glad it came off of us. Makes it all kind of ironic.

Have to agree.... I do realize what Sammy did for the game of baseball and the Cubs, but if this team wants to move forward, Sammy needs to stay in the past as far as this team is concerned. Sammy is really not doing "outstanding" this year, and we are slowly getting this team in alignment. He would be booed right back out of town...the booers would have their voices heard much more than the cheers.

The "other guy" was Dave Crouthers, who retired before the season began due to sow type of social anxiety disorder. Would reverse the trade at all.
I'm happy for Sosa. While he's a pretty lazy guy in the field, it's real ironic he hit 600 against the Cubs and Jason Marquis who wears Sosa's old 21.

Sammy was a great played for us for years. But he burned too many bridges on his way out. So I have to vote no on that. PLus there is no room for him in our crowded OF.

No, I don't want him back, but I was happy to see him hit 600. All this anomosity towards Sammy is BS, sure he burned some bridges but the fact that gave us so many outstanding years and vitually carried this team through some bleak years and helped us get to the playoffs in 98 and 03 outweighs the corked bat, leaving early etc. Sammy will be a HOF'er, not that it means much anymore but Im sure he will be there.

Never should have let him go in the first place.

He is hitting .242 with 12 hrs and 53 rbi- playing about 2/3 of the time
Iknow he is in a different league but 53 rbi is 14 more than our leader and he is 1 HR behind our team leader.
If we are going to suck the rest of the year like we do now, I say heck yes- bring him back. I would love to see him hit bombs in Wrigley again.

Give them Jones And Ickturus for Sammy.Throw in Murton too.Its no loss and at least we would solidify RF with a guy that can play it and has some power.I think Sammy would light it up and just may be the spark we need.Would'nt the outfielld be all Dominican guys then?

You can add another HR and 4rbi to the total after tonight.
