Maybe a little surprising. The guy definitely had great numbers and played for a winning team, but I'm kind of surprised that Jeter didn't end up winning it. Not really sure Jeter can have a better season than he did this year. Nice to see the Yanks not win this though either! Guess the east coast bias was thrown out the window! :p

I think Mauer deserved it more than Morneau. Very surprising

That's true.
Mauer put up great stats as well as a higher batting average than Jeter.
Hitting for a higher average than one of the games greatest is very hard to do.
Ohh well, that gives Mauer even more reason to prove once again he can be a great offensive catcher.
and the fact that they are teammates, probably lessens the "bull****" that mauer is thinking.

Atleast someone from his own team one it, but I think he knows that he deserved it more, atleast I do. He was the leader of that team last year.

If you are talking offensive leader.
I think that Johan was the leader of the Twins in comparison to that of Lee with the Cubs. Just my opinion.

Oh, yeah Johan was for pitching and maybe the team. IDK I just think he deserved better than not winnign the MVP. He was who I picked.
