"Project 3000" is the project launched by Derrek Lee and others to find a cure for Leber's Congenital Amaurosis (LCA). Lee's daughter was affected by this and prompted the project. I encourage you all to take a look at the "Project 3000" site below to find out more and make a donation if possible. Best wishes to DLee and his family and the project itself.

Seeing as how the season is just around the corner, I thought I would sticky this thread to give it some more attention. I encourage all of you to check this out and give what you can. :)

What if we raised money here on fogpog, then donated it on behalf of fogpog. Might be a good way to get the name fogpog out there.

Question for anybody that might know:

Weren't the Cubs bracelet sales this year supposed to benefit Project 3000???

They weren't selling any at ST.

I see it says Under Construction, I'm sure they will have them for sale on there once they get it up and running.

With the Barrett trade will he continue to donate for every home run he hits?

I don't see why not. It's not like they hate eachother now.

I think Barrett would, despite his disagreements with a few pitchers he seems to be a standup guy!

Never commented on this but it's great that sports stars make a effort to make a difference in the community like this. Bought a awareness band from the Project 300 website a week ago, worth cause.
