After one road game, Sandberg, to whom fans flock like a Beatle each night, signed autographs for a half-hour in the rain while his players waited on the bus. Once Sandberg finally joined them, a player asked, "Why did you do that?"

I had just read that before seeing your post. Awesome article. I think he has what it takes to make it to the Bigs as a manager.
