They are in a rain delay. I hope they play. I do not want to see Gorzelanny.

If we missed him then we would end up getting their 3,4,5 starters. So it'd be ML hitting against AAA pitching. Odds are in our favor.

They are suppose to start the game in 30-45 minutes.

Bill Hall of the Brewers was just carried off the field with an apparent leg injury. He went up to try to rob Doumit of a HR. He came down hard on his leg. Two players carried him off. It looked pretty serious. I hate to see any kind of injuries.

I hope somebody tells our staff not to pitch to Laroche this weekend. He just crushed another one. 2 HRs and a double off the wall today. Nady, Doumit and Sanchez are all hitting right now. It looks like we will be running into a hot team this weekend. Bucs 6 crew 3 in the bottom of 7

The Cubs need to win tonight, then we would have made up 3 games in a week!!!

Thats true. Gorzelanny will get my vote. After watching the Brewers flat mangle every lefthander we have, he kept them in check allowing 3 runs on only 4 hits in 7 INNINGS. 3 outs to go.

What was Bill Hall thinking? He had NO chance at catching the home run and he still climbed the wall. He ended up hurting his ankle...not sure how serious but still a dumb play. Oh well anything that helps.

Baseball Tonight just said that it was a high ankle sprain. Somewhat vague. He did not accompany the team to DC.

I'm don't like seeing injuries, however, they are a big part of the game. On the radio today, there was a discussion on how anything can happen from here on out with the Cubs inching closer and closer... especailly when injuries play such a huge part of the game and there is no telling what is going to happen at any time when injuries are concerned.

As far as Hall...they said on mlb.com that he was on crutches and had a protective boot on in the clubhouse and the Brewers wouldn't make any call until at least tomorrow when they see just how swollen it is. Obviously, he won't be in the Brewers/Nats series, which may benefit us a lot as it takes a big bat out of their lineup in a time they are struggling as it is.

What I would find interesting to watch in this series.... Young vs. Fielder!!!!! One got is first triple today...and it wasn't long ago the other Big Boy got an inside the park homer! It'll be like watching two linebackers at first base in one series!

Linebackers???? Heck, they're more like O-linemen! :D

They have a good OF here in Nashville that was up with the club earlier- Tony Gwynn's son. He will probably be called back up- no where near the pop of Hall though.
