He signed with the Angels. Well, for once they beat us this offseason.

Yeah, but lets see here.
Soriano > Matthews.
I still think we will have a solid CF by the time april comes around.

I wouldn't have minded him, but not for $10mil/yr. Roberts would be a much cheaper option if we are still looking for a CF. I think we should go after Manny now. That would really piss them off! :D

Could you even imagine how excited Chicago would be if we picked up manny too.
Wow, the MLB would be like OH ****!
and the curse would finally end.

Well, not that Boston would do it and who knows how much they would want in return, but his salary isn't looking as bad as it did a few years ago. Plus, we would only have to keep him for a couple years if we wanted. I'm thinking Manny, Soriano, Murton as our OF. Man, I would crap myself if we got Manny. :p

It won't happen. We would have to give up so much that were not willing to.

We would end up having to give them Zamby, now there is one guy that I want that plays for the Red Sox (I don't think hes a FA)
Former cub : Matt Clement (Zamby wore his fake goatees when they had them at wrigley, i believe)
Sorry to get off subject. Back to manny

Yea, I know we'll never get him.
But wow, I was just thinking today about how I want Clement back. And I'm pretty sure he isn't a free agent.

I think we could get him back, he was one of my fav. pitchers and he lit it up first year with the red sox.

I went to a cubs game in '04 and I remember he was pitching.
The minute I got there, I boat a goatee from one of the vendors outside of the stadium.
I wore it the whole game and I thought it was very special.
To this day I still have it, in my room and in a safe spot.
I really do miss him as a cubs pitcher.
