Ok this is pretty much an irrelevant thread, but figured it would be fun...
Who do you think had the most dominating year... not just purely by numbers... but just filthy stuff.
Kerry Wood (1998) 13-6 3.40
Mark Prior (2003) 18-6 2.43
Carlos Zambrano (2004) 16-8 2.75

That is a great question. Priors numbers of course look the best, but out of the 3 that would be the one I think hitters would rather bat against. Thats kind of like 5-10 years ago- Maddux was always up there in the Cy Young race, but everyone would rather hit off of him than Randy Johnson. Im going to go with K WOOD on this one. It was his first year, and it was really before he even learned how to pitch, he was absolutely nasty. The 20 strike out game was as good a game as anyone will ever see. It was a 1 hitter that could have been called an error, but the thing about that game was he only threw like 125 pitches and struckout 20. When they are on their game though, Z is the toughest to hit though. Prior reallly never got himself in trouble with walks like the other 2. Damn, I wish we still had them healthy

If we had them healthy then we would have 3 rings by now.
