TLR is upset becasue he wasn't named MVP for the AL in the All Star game after letting Pujols sit the bench and not give the NL a chance to win it. What an idiot!!!! What in the hell is he thinking? besides the fact of making sure his star is well rested after one of ours put them back in the game!!!

You are correct, I just posted something similar in the Around the Horn section. The one time I want to see the monster come to the plate and he doesnt even get in the game.

In all honesty, Larussa wanted that game bad tonight. When Buck interviewed him between innings I could tell he wanted it bad just by the way he talked. He spoke about the AL winning in interleague play and of course 9 straight ALL star games. As they were talking, Reyes singled to center- in which Hunter made a great play by saving it from being a triple- you could here Larussa mutter something negative.
How can you not let Pujols hit though??????????? I love our guys to death, but Pujols is one clutch you know what.

Living in Cardinals country (unfortunately)... there are alot of pissed Cardinals fans around here... the only participant from the Cardinals and he doesn't play... that stinks.

Did you guys read about Poo-Holes crying becuase he didn't play. Granted I think he should have hit in the 9th, but a lot of guys don't play in All Star Games. Between making fun of his scout for working at Wal-Mart, crying about the MVP last year and now making a big stink because he didn't play in the All Star Game, he's really looking like a baby.

I dont blame him for being pissed. He is the arguably the best player in the game right now, right there with AROD. Do it Larussa- make your stud mad, just like you did Rolen last year. Lets trade for him. Pujols, like Larussa said last night, can play anywhere.

I wish eh had played and had the game winning RBIs that would have given the Cubs home field advantage in the WS.
He has turned into a big crybaby and jerk over the last couple years though.

You know, if the Cardinals were more in contention, he would have used Pujols! Not using him and sending Rowand to the plate isn't going to hurt him any (barring any second half miracles for the Cards)...however, it could hurt the Brewers or Cubs!

After the story broke last night, I went over to the Cardinals message board to get the fans reaction. For the most part, they were real pissed off at LaRussa. Many of them wanted him fired on the spot. A few of them even suggested getting Brenly as a replacement.
This could work in the Cubs favor in the long run. Even though home field is lost, it could create quite a stir in the Cardinals clubhouse. Some were even saying that the players could quit on LaRussa.
