Hey, what's going on? I'm a baby Cub fan...I know a lot of you are older and have had the privilege of watching the Cubs lose for decades now, but I've only been a fan since 03'. I live in Florida, and I've only been to Illinois once; of course it was a week long trip to Chi-town that was concluded with a visit to Wrigley Field, where the Cubs beat the Giants 3-2. My best Cub moment was booing Hawkins at Wrigley and watching him put runners on base as a result. I've only been to 4 Cubs games, one in Chicago and 3 in Miami, but all of them were badass.

I've only been a real die-hard fan for the past season. So you're not the only one.

It will show if your a true die-hard fan, if we don't win a WS within the next 5-10 years, are you still gonna be a cubs fan?

Not even one has been won, that would truly suck.
The cubs have only lost once when I went. And that was in 04 when Clement was pitching.

I've been to 4. I wanted to go to more last year, but we just never got around to getting tickets. I don't remember the ones from when I was younger, but I think they lost all those three. But the game I went to last year was the one where Maddux went 5-0. I remember being pissed at first, cause on the schedule for awhile, it said that Rusch was pitching, and I didn't want to see him pitch and make us lose. But then the day before the game I checked again, and they changed it so Maddux was pitching. It was a pretty sweet game. Of course, I was getting hot dogs for me and my dad when the Cub's got back to back to back doubles, scoring 2 runs in the process.

I have been to 2 Cubs games, both at Wrigley, and both were losses.
This year will be different though.

Welcome. i've been a die Hard since 1970. i had the privelage of watching the Cubs lose a 4 game series in old Riverfront Stadium against the "Big Red Machine" Front row seats right behind the Cubs dugout on the 3rd base line. those were the best seats one could ever ask for. that was back when the players would sign autographs at the team Hotel and love doing it. What a thrill for a young kid. 36 years of waiting till next year. Still waiting.

It's nice to be able to discuss and not get pummeled with all the name-calling. I have been in a couple of discussions today on the Cubs site that were healthy. That's a change.
