View Full Version : Who do you hate most?

Of all the players on the Cards, the Stro's, the Pirates, the Reds, and the Brewers (throw in the Sox for good measure), who do you hate the most and why? Personally I can't stand Edmonds and Oswalt, Edmonds because he's a showboat and his defense is laughably over-rated and Oswalt because he's a little **** starter.

Any member of the Chicago White Sox; however I followed Aaron Rowland when he played there because I went to Sox Fest with a friend of mine who introduced me to him. He liked my Bears jersey (didn't wear my Cubs jersey because some jagbag Sox fan spilled his drink on it) I don't care for any of the Cardinals either.

Berkman for his faking getting hit in the head a couple of years ago and Yadi Molina....don't ask me why cuz I don't have an answer...he just gets to me..;)

Going with your avatar there, A.J. for the Sox gets under my skin. I don't really care for LaRussa (I know, a manager) or Edmonds either. One guy from the past that I really don't like is Matt Morris. He better never get close to wearing a Cubs jersey.

All very noble choices. Now that you mention Morris, I forgot about Steve Kline. He was a buttmunch for sure.

David Eckstein, i just hate his batting stance and he looks like a dufus. Jim Edmonds, hate him. AJ from the Sox, hes good, but he started **** with my man Barrett. And Jeff Bagwell, he just looks like a jerk.

Pierzinski, because he's a little bitch. I remember after Barrett punched him, all the Sox fans I knew were saying "Oh Barrett gave him a cheap shot, and then he beat the **** outta him!".

#1 - I don't consider it a cheap shot, because Aj was looking straight at Barrett. It's not like he came up from behind and punched him, there were a few seconds of them looking at each other and saying a few things, then he hit him.

#2 - Like 3 guys from the Sox jumped on Barrett immediatly, and grabbed his arms, then people started hitting, seriously, wtf was he supposed to do then?

I cant stand Roy Oswalt either.
Ever since he started that **** with Barrett I have hated him.
If he ever wore a cubs jersey, for any reason, I would seriously hire a hitman and gun his *** down.
and he pitches like a dumbass.
look at this wind up.

it has to be the sox. the reason is because of their fans. these are fans who just so happen to show up when the team is good. there is nothing that i hate more than people who only follow during the good times. every sox fan i know is like that.

Yes, I also hate that too.
And sudden cardinal fans after this year.
hmm I wonder why?
they sure as hell didnt do anything different than any other year other than win the WS.

I seriously only know 3 really big Sox fans, who stuck with them even when they did bad. And 2 of them are brother and sister, and they mostly just got it from their dad. Other then that, every other Sox fan I know is a bandwagoner.

But I will admit, I kind of hopped on the Red Sox bandwagon when they wont he WS. Only because they are AL, and that they had the curse going for them too. I have a red sox shirt, but that is it. I have alot of cubs stuff I wear.

I can't stand Edmonds. he plays routine flyballs into circus catches and always has. i have been waiting for him to cost the Cards a game because of it. I never really liked morris either. Larussa has never been one of my favorites. What is with the sunglasses during all those night games anyhow?

I don't like any of them. I always felt sympathy for the Pirates for coming in last year after year but now we finished in last so I can't talk. All we need is 4 starting pitchers and to shape up our bullpen and we're set for '07. I equally hate molina, clemens, bagwell, biggio, berkman, pujols, taguchi, LaRusa, prince fielder, and all of the sox roster, coaching staff, broadcasters, etc.

Hmmm. Where to begin...

Ozzie Guillen- The guy is the epidomy of a hardon. His BS macho attitude an tough guy act really piss me off. Hey Oz, you're d'f, keep your damn mouth shut.

Tony LaRussa- He seriously needs to cut his mullet. I'm a little sick of he & Eckersley sharing a hairstyle..

Roger Clemens- The guy is a complete mercenary, who blue balls teams for months, until he ready to stop fighting with littleleague umpires and go to work.

Derek Jeter- he has decent numbers, but has always had the benefit of a good supporting cast. Besides that, he's pretty smug.

Freddie Garcia- Here's a prime example of an overrated pitcher. He had a good year for the Mariners a few years ago, but since then has been inconsistant (while he has won games, his era is no picnic). He also is pretty disturbing looking. He scares children (there's a true story behind that). **** like that others me...

AJ is the obvious one. If there's a cub fan pledge of allegiance, hating on AJ sould be in there. I actually have respect for LaRussa just b/c he keeps winning with a mediocre team. Craig Counsell is high on my hatin list, he looks like he bat rammed up his *** when he steps in the box.

#1-I hate "fair weather" fans. Just like the White Sox fans described here. I detest ANY team's "fair weathers". At least we know we really are "Die hard" Cubs fans!

#2-I hate A.J. Pierzynski. Mainly because of the Barrett incident. He did say things to Michael Barrett and set him off! When they replayed the clip a few times, I thought for sure everyone would see that it was his fault and Barrett was just reacting the way any sane person would. I was shocked when he was suspended!

#3-I hate Scott Rolen. For no reason in particular, other than he's a cardinal, he's ugly and I hate his batting stance. If you can't picture it now, make sure to watch it next time.

1 - Jim Edmonds - he thinks he should get style points for hitting a "Padded wall", I love it when he runs into the wall at Wrigley... Under those soft vines are hard bricks.

2 - AJ (not the AJ Foyt either) in watching the replays of the fight between him and Barrett IMHO AJ started it.

3 - Cardinal announcers... I know they are not players some are former ones such as McCarver, but between him and Jack Buck they are enough to make you use the mute button. Talking about how great Soup is... or Matty Mo...

Ever since Ozzie Smith retired , Biggio is the player I have always hated the most. There will NEVER be a reasonable explaination how Smith got into the HOF on his first ballot and it took Ryno 2 times. ALL Smith was ever good for was his defense , that is not worthy of a first ballot. With Biggio , I hate his ugly stance , he runs like a waterhead , and he always manages to break out of his worst slumps against us.

I generally have a good time with most cardinal fans when im at busch, of course the ahole more fans make up for the lack of numbers. however ive only been to busch twice and we won both times! The first was old busch's last year when neifi with the gs in extras to win. I will always have a soft spot for him b/c of that game.

elven_scout

That's probably the only reason he ever gave anyone to have a soft spot for him. His at bats terrified me.

Of all the players on those six teams, my least favorites are probably Rolen (not sure why, really), Crede (again, not sure. Maybe I have a problem with non-Cub third basemen), and Oswalt. Doug Davis gets an honorable mention for his stint with the Brewers.

I used to think this until I was at a Sox/Cards game at the Cell for my dad's birthday. I was 10 rows up and saw Edmonds give himself a concussion running into the wall at the the Cell last year trying to snag a ball.

Btw this was the game where Marquis gave up 5-6 runs in the first 3 innings and LaRussa left him in. He ended up giving up 9 runs rhrough 5 innings.

elven_scout

I remember that game. I think a lot of people overestimate Edmonds, but just as many (or more) underestimate him. Granted he's old now, but he was a pretty good player just a few years ago. Besides, I think many Major Leaguers showboat at least sometimes.

I also dislike Edmonds the most. The only reason he makes so many "great" catches is because he gets the worst read/jump on the ball in the MLB and has the ability to make up for it most of the time. He also complains about every pitch he takes that is called a strike.

That gets to me, too. I don't like any player (or athlete) who does that in any sport. Well, not that exactly, but you know what I mean. They think every call that goes against them is wrong every single time, like they are perfect or something. "No...that couldn't have been a strike. Didn't you see me not swing at it? If I don't swing at it, it's a ball. Don't you know that? Are you that dumb?" and so on...*sighs* I guess they're everywhere, though.

No question about it "Jimmy Ballgame" Edmonds is the player I hate most. Talk about an overrated hotdog. Wish he would do one of his dumb *** dives into the wall at Wrigley. Big Z became my favorite Cub player when he threw at Edmonds a few years back after Rolen took him deep. I absolutely loved it. I live near St. Louis and have to see the frosted tip hotdog on TV on a regular basis. He makes me want to puke when I see him.

I'm gonna have to go with a different Cardinal. There's just something about David Eckstein that just gets under my skin. Like how he bats with his hands practically on the barrel of the bat. Or how he should play second instead of Short because he needs to take his arm to the ground before he launches it over to first base...he really irratates me.

I just stumbled on this thread with looking around and felt I had to make a post.

I don't know if I truly hate any player or former player not named "Joe" + "Morgan" (as an example) but Houston's own Prance Jerkman comes really close (I'm pretty sure you know to whom I refer). He got on my #@%$#-list a few years back with his (-ahem-) "ill-advised" comments about Wrigley (Her Majesty) and the Cubs in general. Pretty much a smart-ass, loud-mouth punk twerp was my reaction to his comments.

I find it interesting and rewarding that Prance has just recently been slapped with a 2 day suspension for some comments and actions (I know no more than this) during a recent road trip somewhere - no surprise to me !.

Great ballplayer - unfortunately really just a punk loud-mouthed snot underneath it all.

{A few years ago the Houston official MLB message board had a thread asking for suggestions for nicknames for their up-and-coming young superstar. I suggested "Prance Jerkman" - I thought it fit completely in every respect. Needless to say I still am not exactly welcome on the Astros board.

Imagine re-naming a professioanal baseball team after George Jetson's dog. That's desperate.}

Whats even better is the fact that he appealed his suspension which made him eligible for tonights game and he was tossed again. Not the brightest move considering he is already playing under suspension and he got thrown out again!!!
