I recently ordered a copy of the 1959 TV show Home Run Derby, and I received it today. I used to watch this show on ESPN everyday when I got out of school. I'm currently watching Ernie taking on Mickey Mantle. Pretty awesome!!! Anyone else a fan of the old show?

Side note--Very pumped about the Kendall acquisition.

Is that the show where they play the games by innings- meaning 3 outs an inning. If so , that was awesome. Parts of it almost look fake especially when they are interviewing the players, but that is just how it was back then I guess.

I loved watching reruns of that show. That show would be awesome today, of course today's egos would demand to much money. Or they would commit then pull out at the last minute.

I do remember watching that show on ESPN. Wasn't it on right before Up Close with Roy Firestone?
