I know some of you around here are old school...maybe looking out for kids who might visit these forums. But I've got to say, as a new poster the censhorship on curse words is irritating. Is there any way we can get this changed?

I think anyone that posts on a forum is old enough to know what it is, but I don't think its quite necessary to undo it. Just don't swear, and say something better. But that's my opinion, I swear once in awhile about something, mostly something that I am mad about.

Eh, I could care less. We all can tell what the word is most the time anyway.

I agree, we know what has been censored out, but i suppose it unnecessary.
If you really feel the need do what i do, swear in slang: in my case, Scots.
as a test: bollocks, bloody, feck (awesome term), ****e
dc - on the track of circumventing asinine rules
edit: bleedin' 'eck, it searches within words. oh well.

In other boards I post on, there's no filters, but we're all adults and don't use it for the realm of personal attacks. Unfortuneatly everyone doesn't see it that way. There are ways of doing it though, if it's necessary (I do it on the MLB board, just beause).
Most automated filter do not pick up certain letters from other languages so you type the word using the respective character.
