How do you give up a guy that hits 35 HRs and drives in 110 a year? I tell you how. The Brewers made the move of the year last year trading Carlos Lee to Texas, because they knew they would not be able to pay him. Who do they get in return- Cordero- with exception to Rammy who sent one about 400 feet off of him to win the game- this guy is nails. 30 saves now, pitched 4 days in a row- the Crew rolling- winning 4 of 5 since break and they are winning with their pitching.

Not exactly what I would call the best trade ever. They could have resigned him. Cordero has been alright. I wouldn't say he's superior. If they would have kept Lee he would have made them the clear favorite in the Central. They already had a closer by the name of DERRICK TURNBOW. So why did they get another one?

Big Z I have to disagree. They did not have the money to resign Lee so they got something for him. Have you looked at Corderos numbers? He is the best in the league. I think opponents are hitting about .175 off of him and he strikes out more than 1 an inning. Basically with 2 guys they cut the game to 7 innings. If they have the lead after 7- you are in trouble. You can also throw Villanuevea in there for the seventh, who has just recently been in a minor slump. Turnbow is very erratic with wild pitches and walks- no where near Cordero. I said it was the best trade of 2006.

Yea and Turnbow wasn't doing very good last season. And some really rough outings, which shows in his 6.87 ERA from last season.

Remember Lous nasty boys in 1990- Starting P goes 6 and then he would turn it over to Charleton, Dibble, and Randall K Myers
