Without Neifi we might as well not bother playing because we all know Neifi is a true 5 tool player! Bench lee and start neifi so he can win the mvp!

i kinda agree with Zamby: i've had enough neifi sarcasm (on the cubs.mlb board) to last a lifetime.

but i do think it'll be interesting to see a) where dusty goes and b) how long before neifi gets there too...

I really liked Neifi off the bench. He's a good backup, he really is. It's a shame Baker didn't know how to manage a lineup, or else we might still have some of those solid bench-guys he over-used and abused.

thats my contention, i dont know if detroit are bringing him back next season but i think he is contracted. he's not even that bad a bit player, but he cannot play every day. that was his problem here imo.

im not sure dusty will be back, but i guess he does still have a reputation. i forsee a year in the booth and somewhere in cali in 08.

Yes, I agree.
Neifi was decent off the bench, but he is aging.
Neifi still has some game left, but if he follows baker he is going to be even more tired/abused.

The guy could barely talk when he was on sportscenter a couple weeks back.
I think going to cali in 07 would be good enough

Only one and only thing I will remember about Nefi Perez was his grandslam against the Cardinals in St. Louis. I yelled so loud my wife next door ran over she thought the house came down...lol

Yeah that was his best hit as a cub. I really don't like the way he plays, never really did but he was a good bench player and filled in well when Nomar went down but paid too much for a bench player, even a gold glove bench player.

That grand slam was awesome. How it stuck in the wall there just a few feet away from the foul line was just a punch in the cardinals face.

Calm down guys its a long off-season and we need someting besides all this "Who where gonna get/Who we need" to talk about. All I know is the team will be much better next season and thats all that really matters in the end. Shoot me poking fun at perez I think its a funny subject. And I don't really care what it reminds you of its funny to me.:mad: :mad: :mad:

Your acting like and "idiot" on the cubs boards, don't get mad. But show some class. Neifi isn't even with the cubs, and hopefully he can have a positive future.

Hey guys we need zito, schmidt, a-rod, blah, blah and blah. It gets boring talking about players well never see in a cubs uni and its really funny people are jumping back on the bandwagon just like in 2003 just becasue we signed soriano. And anyone who thinks I really care about Neifi is mistaken. Im just pointing out that my team signs bad players and make some really bad deals, like Rush, when we let Maddux go to Atlanta after the 92 season because him and Lefebvre didnt get along and Lou Brock for Broglio may have been the worst trade ever. Its the Cubs history to take good young tallent and throw them out for junk like Neifi. Oh and I know Neifi is with the tigers.:confused:

Neifi wasn't a bad player.. I think that any team should be so lucky to have a guy like that off the bench.. I think a good bench player should have decent speed, decent glove, and a decent bat. If they were stellar at any of those, they'd probably be starting every day. Cubs fans hated Neifi, and I'm not saying I liked him.. but he wasn't bad enough to boo off the field every time he played. A good buddy of mine would boo him.. even when he'd get 3 hits. Rediculous. Lay off the guy. I hope he succeeds where ever he goes.

Neifi came to me last night in my dreams and helped me to solve some business and personal issues . I was enlightened .

We will mark this as his first miracle . A few more and we can finally get him sainted.

I wonder if i buried his rookie card in front of my house if i could sell it for a vast profit .
