That would have been a nice lineup for 2006. I bet you really wanted to look ahead to 2007 though.

Soriano RF
Rowand CF
Lee 1B
Ramirez 3B
Jones LF
Barrett C
DeRosa 2B
Izturis SS

I am not convinced that Michael Barrett is the right guy behind the plate, though. Great average for a catcher but you hear too many negatives about defense and game calling. If we can get someone that hits .270 but has both the arm and ability to call the correct pitch, we might be better off. Also, I know that Rowand is a wild card but he would fit in well with the Cubs.

I dunno why everyone's so high on the guy.. I mean, he's a good ball player.. but he's not even the best player on his team.. and he plays for the Rays..

I'm a little confused as to who you would put in CF with that lineup? As it stands, you would have 3 corner outfielders. Soriano is going to play left or right field. I'm guessing that you are predicting a trade of Jones for Westbrook but the Indians are now saying that he is not on the block and even if he was, they need pitching not a left fielder.

Sounds like Pie would fit right in.Why not?Soriano could takeover if he sucks .Then you move in Pagan Or Murton.
