The Brew Crew boosted their struggling bullpen by getting Scott Linebrink from the Padres!

CINCINNATI -- They had to part with three valuable pitching prospects to do it, but the Brewers accomplished their primary trade deadline goal by acquiring reliever Scott Linebrink from the San Diego Padres on Wednesday.
The Padres received left-handed reliever Joe Thatcher, who was expected to join San Diego's bullpen, plus prospects Will Inman and Steve Garrison. Inman, a 20-year-old right-hander, was rated the third-best prospect in Milwaukee's organization by Baseball America. Thatcher was rated 23rd and Garrison was rated 27th.

I understand everyone needs pitching, but this is the area I think the Brewers are loaded. Wise, Villanueva, Turnbow, Cordero, now Linebrink. Thats a good pen.

their pen has really been struggling lately, so I can understand why they boosted up.

I was looking at the 3 prospects numbers that they gave the Padres and they look pretty darn good in the minors. It seems like it took a lot to pry him out of the Padres hands.

They had to do something that are starting to panic with us nipping at their heels.
