Boy, I just have to say that I really like the atmosphere on this message board, SO MUCH MORE than the one on cubs.com! It seems so laid back and quiet. I am still in the habit of going there first, but I am working on trying to come to this one more often. There are just too many trolls over there and people are just to quick to put you down with insults and profanity if you don't follow one belief or another. Hopefully over time this place won't turn out to be like that and it will be reserved for real fans and "adults". Now don't get me wrong, I am always up for a good argument to defend a belief or if I don't necessarily agree with you, but I definitely don't appreciate being called stupid, a jack *** or a **** head just for posting an opposing message. People just seem to get too defensive over there, that's all.

Well anyway...Happy Thanksgiving!!

Agree with everything you just said, I have never posted there ever. I am too afraid, but I like the atmosphere here, I have been here only a week and I post alot.

I agree with what you said. I am quick to jump in over there to voice my displeasure with the so-called prima-donnas. I call them gradeschoolers, due to all the namecalling. no reason to be afraid to post there though, not like they can come out of your monitor. Who cares. Put them back in thier place and usually they just try to justify why they act the way they do. this is much better, though it seems hard to determine who the response is made to unless I have just missed something. Anyhow, just enjoy it here.

This is a good message board...Adult like and people respect one another. I'm sure some of us will have disagreements. ;) ;)

that's all one can ask for. I think we all want the same things, a Cubs Championship, and conversation without being berated.

No. God I wish I did though. I live in Brookfield, it's a suburb of Chicago. You might of heard of my town because of the zoo we got here, which is supposed to be one o the best in the world.

we took the kids there about 9 years ago. The Rhino shot a stream of piss about 30 feet towards my 4 year old and scared the hell out of him. LOL Never forget that one.
Nice place.

Have you seen what happened to Jeff (sunbiz)? Seemingly someone had the cops on him. That whole debate has got REALLY vicious, I need to speak to Laura (tinkers), i reckon she'll know what really went down, she speaks to Jeff. But it's stuff like that which makes me want to spend as little time there as possible.

If you dont mind me asking, what name do you post on over there? (Im still dundeecub over there)

Haha, sounds like fun. I once tried to swim with the seals when I was younger. Or maybe it was the dolphins. I forget, cause I was like 3, but apparently my dad had his eyes off me for like 5 seconds, and I was trying to climb into one of the tanks.

Amazing what kids will do. I do remember what a nice zoo that was though. I would like to take the kids there again now that they are older.

I'm still Newt, just with some different #'s behind the name. I only go there to discuss, but sometimes find myself questioning peoples way of treating others. they usually back off until the next chance they get. Some will never change. I'll have to look for you over there.

I really don't like posting over there. Too many know it alls, fantasizers, and rival fans disguising themselves as Cubs fans and berating every little move our general manager makes. The environment is disgustingly hostile, so my posts are few and far between. I did see some thread about this Sunbiz character and it was kind of creeping me out. People need to remember that it's just sports.
