Hughes' 18-year streak of 1,896 consecutive games broadcasting the Brewers and the Cubs is officially history.
Pat Hughes returned to the Cubs' radio booth on WGN-AM Sunday after missing three games with what he called a "nasty virus."
"I'm back among the living," Hughes said. "I'm not 100 percent but good enough to go. It's my daughter's 18th birthday, so I wanted to work today and go home and see her."
Wow, in all of the stats that Pat provides us during the games, I had never heard that one before! The important thing is he is back and healthy!
