RIP Bill Walsh

Walsh died of luekemia at the age of 75. For those that do not know, he was the architect of the 49ers success in the 80s, winning 3 Superbowls. He is known as one of the greatest offensive minds in football history.

I had, in the "Seen on the Bears MB" string, honored Walsh by asking which was the better NFL innovation, West Coast offense or Tampa Two defense.

I chose West Coast because it or variations of it have been responsible for 5-6 superbowls where the Tampa 2 has won 2.
