Report: Astros to sign Lee to six-year deal

KRIV-TV in Houston is reporting that Carlos Lee and the Astros have agreed to terms on a six-year contract.
No word yet on the terms of the deal, but $90 million is as good a guess as any. If the report is true, Lee picked the Astros over the Orioles, Phillies and Giants. Since he has a ranch near Houston, the Astros were the favorites right from the start. Nov. 24 - 1:34 pm et

Wow, that's bad news. Guess we'll just have to hope and pray that the Crockett and his butt buddy Pettite stay away. Otherwise Houston is going to be a nasty team to play.

the way bonds hit last year.. I could probably replace him. pitchers were so scared of him.. and so they wouldn't pitch to him.. the guy's washed up.

El Caballo would have looked good in a Cubs uniform patrolling the opposite corner of Soriano, but if he wasn't going to re-sign with Milwaukee or sign with St. Louis, I'd rather see him in Houston. However, it'd be best if he were out of the Central division.

I was hoping that he would land in the AL somewhere. Oh well, it's not about who they get as much as it is who we get.

Yeah, it sucks. I guess the Orioles weren't much of players for him after all. I'm just glad we didn't land him. Need to get some pitching.
