It was a good game, and Yost pulled out all stops, including putting in tomorrows scheduled starter to come in to the game in relief. I have a feeling with that homer, there were cub fans all around the world that just did a simultaneous "Oh SH*T"

I think you are probably right Ryno. That could be the one thing that team needed to get back on track. Lets hope it doesn't carry them because if it does we have to continue on our A Game

Man, there were three parallel threads talking about the Mets-Brewers game. Talk about scoreboard watching!

Well, as long as we're in first place by Oct. 1, I don't mind.

True...Van. I think what disappointed me is that there for a little bit, we had it! Mets were winning, Brewers were losing, and it just seemed perfect. Kendall came through in a very clutch situation when I really didn't think he would... JJ came through big time.... and the Mets pen couldn't hold it up. Now, not only did the Mets lose, but Glavine goes for his 300th win against the Cubs on Sunday night!

No, I had to listen to it on Mets radio. MLB.tv has it blacked out here. It wasn't on tv. The mets announcers were in awe of it! They said that foul balls are never measured, but that one should have been. They estimated it as 450 feet. But they also said that when he got to first, it looked as if his arm was really hurting, as he grabbed the shoulder as his arm hung limp next to his body. They said that those two smashes, along with getting hit by the pitch earlier, may have caused some sorness in his arm.
