Eyre has pitched better as of late so I think Oh-Man needs to be used as sparingly as possible. Oh-Man sucks. That's why one more lefty reliever would be nice. I've said it many times before where's Rapada? Give him a shot.

Wow we must have posted this at the same time. I think my nine year old daughter could hit Ohman.

Yeah we did post at the same time. I went back to the bleachers after I made this thread and saw another one and was like....at least someone else knows he's horrible.

Your nine year old could probably pitch better than him also. Its sad that our bullpen has pitched 16+ scoreless innings this series and leave it to Ohman to screw it up. This team has fought allday to stay in this game and he just took us out of it in the top of the 9th.

You guys are all right about Ohman. It was pretty disappointing. :(

What is his problem this year?

He was pretty decent last year wasn't he? I really don't know why he is getting lambasted. Is he just missing with his location? Tipping his pitches? Lost velocity? Inability to throw strikes? I wonder.

Ohman has been good at times. But in big spots he seems to choke way too often. Thats all I can say!

Teams are whacking his outside pitches. He should NEVER FACE RIGHT HANDERS IN A CLOSE GAME!

Here's one thing but I don't know how much of an effect it might have. This team is contending and last year there was no pressure. Maybe he's pressing which is leading to him being unable to locate his slider.

He left pitches up and away all day today. Lou obviously didnt want to use Marmol, Howry and rightfully so- they needed a break. Ohman pretty much just faced RHs today.

Going into today, he had a pretty decent era. After today it shot to 4.55

Last year he finshed with a 4.13 era but held lefties to a .158 avg.. He also had 75 Ks in 61 innings. All of his numbers are higher this year. His average vs. lefties is .224.

We are trying to make a monumental push for the postseason here. I really don't want someone on the mound that makes my stomach knot up the minute I see him even stretching in the bullpen. The time is now...and now isn't the time for Ohman to go out there, give up a few runs, and then kick the dirt around to show us fans and Lou that he's mad at himself.

I also realize today that Lou didn't have much else to do with the pen spent due to the short starts of the last two starters.... but I would rather have a pen of guys who every single one of them is reliable.... not 5 you can count on and 2 you have to close your eyes when they take the mound.

I agree. Ohman has always made me nervous. Even the job he does vs. lefties- he tends to walk them or go deep into counts. With that being said, you are right - Lou's hands were tied today with the bullpen- they are beginning to get overworked because our starters are not going long enough. He mentioned it in his post game along with the fact of no homeruns. We had 1 homer in the series - and that was by guess who- Not Sori, Rammy, or Lee- but the little spark plug named Ryan Theriot- who has now reached base in 31 straight?????????????

Ohman is horrible... you knew when Eyre was pitching bad that Ohman was still worse -- now it is starting to show.

umm have to say you are wrong here... when eyre was bad nobody was worse..

and if certain things would have went the right way ohman woudlnt have even had to pitch

for instance two of theriot's at bats when we were down huge he swung and got out on the first pitch of both at bats...

dont remeber if it was 6th and 7th or 7th adn 8th... but our leadoff guy got on both times and we gidp both times... real rally killers

and we knocked their starter out in the first inning... against phillies bullpen our offense should do better than taht...

ohman pitched bad but hes not to blame for this game

Ohman and Eyre struggle at their own times. It is a witch hunt around here when a guy goes through a tough spell. He will bounce back and gets some tough outs again for us in the future. Let him ride the pine like Eyre did for a while and use him sparingly.

Ohman makes me nervous, but looking at his stats over the past 10 games he has only allowed a run in 2 of those outings. He had gone 5 straight since yesterday. I think yesterday though, was more of giving the others a day off. His main job is getting lefties out. Im not sure he faced one yesterday.

Ohman needs to be traded for a bucket of vomit and a flaming bag of poop. Do you think that is to much to ask for from another team?

I dont get why he put him in to start this inning. He had to face Castillo who is a swith hitter, who promptly singled- then you have to face probably the Mets best hitter in Wright- then you get to DelGado, Alou, Green. To me DelGado has dictated this whole series- hes hitting .250- not to mention the stlolen bases.

Why not start the inning with Wuertz and then go to Ohman facing Delgado. I know Delgado doubled but with Castillo on third that took away his slider in the dirt- instead he left it up a little and it was clobbered.

We'd probably have to give up some cash if you want both the vomit and the poop.
