That injury doesn't look good. I hope it's only a 15 day DL type of thing.

Looked possibly like a quad injury the way he pulled up. Hopefully it was just a cramp, but I doubt it (hope I'm wrong). Doesn't look good.

I second that.

NOOOOOOO!

On top of the injury it happens when we were going to have runners on the corner.

And i absolutely hate the Mets with passion that cannot be measured. I despise the Mets.

This is a horrible horrible day.

I'm so f*****g pissed right now. GOD DAMN IT! We better not go into a shell now and give up.

Definitely not what we needed down the stretch run.

K lets all settle down. Everything will turn out good. He just might not play for a couple days.

I didn't look too bad. I mean, obviously not fun either way, but at least he didn't fall and it didn't look like he twisted anything. But I was shaking my head and saying no for about 5 minutes after it happened. Just hope it isn't too bad.

I pray that is so!

Better sit him out a longer than a couple of days. Trying to come back too soon could set him up for a knee injury. I'm sure he'll be trying to argue his way back in the line-up though, because that's the kind of player he is. I just hope they don't find out that he ended up tearing it.

Time to get it together boys. We need this win.

LOL. Call me a downer, but i don't feel a "W" tonight. It seems like when it rains it pours.

game over

I'm getting that all too familiar sickness in my stomach. I think you all know what I'm talking about. I think we need to see Wood in tonights game, regardless of the score. The team and the fans need something to get excited about right now. A 123 inning by him could lift everyone's spirits right back up.

Anything as long as we get Marquis out of there.

This is not a cool game. After the Soriano thing, I feel either as if I am going to burst into tears or vomit. :(

I didn't get to see it, but I heard it on the radio at work....and I couldn't help to flashback to the Nomar groin tear and the DeeLee broken wrist. That sinking, gut wrenching, stomach turning feeling that nags at the back of your mind as you are trying to be optimistic but knows that this could have a huge affect on what happens from here on out.

It looks like it's turning into a complete disaster. But on the other hand, things can turn around in an inning. :(

As far as Sori goes though, we just have to pray that it's nothing major.

Assuming Soriano will be going on the DL, I think it's a pretty safe bet that Pie will be coming back up. I'm hoping they bring Gallagher back too and give him a chance to start.

Too late.

I don't think they've given up just yet. Wood coming in woke the crowd up, and the crowd woke our bats up.

Yeah, but then we get the big Buzz Kill...OH MAN!!!!!

zulusierra
Aug 5th 2007, 8:51 pm
I am not one of those people who wants everyone who struggles to be traded or sent down, but Ohman has to go. The only time he is any good is when he comes in to face one batter, and even those appearances are getting a lot less frequent.

The only reason he is still here is that we really have no other option for a lefty in the pen. We have Cotts in AAA and Eyre.
