A lot of people have been talking about Z and the Cy Young award lately. Could it be possible that we have 2 contending for this award. Lillys numbers are just as good and some are even better.

Very good chance Skipper. I like what I seen Lilly do tonight on the hill. I was worried about this game because of his big hanging curve. He realized very early in the game it was going to be tough to get that pitch over for a strike so he seemed to throw many more sliders tonight than we have seen him throw in the past and it was very effective.

Lilly deserves some talk, but he doesn't stand a chance. He isn't even on the radar yet. Z has made some noise and he is getting a lot of recognition. I still don't think he'll win mainly because of his poor start and all the walks.

I agree Doba, I dont think either will win it, but my main point is that Lilly is pitching just as well as Z and has actually been more consistant. It doesnt hurt that we seem to score a ton of runs he pitches as well. What Lilly is good about- he can have bad stuff - and still figure out a way to win.

Lilly has been spectacular, of course, but I agree that he probably won't really contend for the Cy Young. At least, I don't see it happening at this point. He's not someone that everyone is talking about. He's under the radar. I actually like that, though.

I see the Cy Young ending up in San Diego whether it be won by Chris Young or Jake Peavy. Z has made a charge but his slow start will hurt him in the end. Lilly has been good to. I heard Gammons say on Mike and Mike that Fausto Carmona and C.C. Sabathia are probably the best 1-2 combo in baseball.....but Z and Lilly can't be to far behind.
