PEORIA, ILLINOIS (TICKER) -- Four pitchers combined to hurl a no-hitter for Class A Peoria of the Midwest League on Saturday.

They combined to strike out 11 batters and relinquish six walks in the Peoria Chief's 6-0 triumph over Beloit on Saturday. The team is an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.

James Russell, participating in his first game with the Chiefs, started and pitched the first three innings. He was relieved by Chris Siegfried, who tossed the next 2 1/3 frames and picked up the win.

Matt Maradeo pitched 1 2/3 inning before Jose Ceda hurled two innings to close out the contest.
