Zito meets with Rangers

Zito and his agent Scott Boras met with the Rangers today. If we don't land him (which I hope we don't), then he needs to stay in the AL. I guess it won't really matter if he goes to the Mets though.

And, seriously, is Boras the agent for every player in baseball? Getting pretty sick of hearing about him this whole offseason. :cool:

Zito is overrated i think now. Itd be nice to have him, dont get me wrong, but why do we have to have a superstar?

I think the big talk of getting a stud pitcher is the fact that Z is the only consistent arm thats in the rotation. Obviously Z can't be the only one we have but actually I think we could settle for two second tier starters and still be competitive

I agree, 2 second tier pitchers. I don't think we need huge names in our club house for pitchers. Lets make huge names with winning.
