I think that 1 word perfectly describes Dempster's 9th inning today WOW. :D

He had them swinging at everything. And the fans just added to it. What a nice win.

What was better I thought was JJ's catch. It left a run on base, so it would ahve been tied when demp came in, what a great game. Everything was awesome, i was watching the game and I bet my neighbors heard me yelling YES YES YES after Dlees HR....wow

JJ's catch should be play of the day tonight on espn- that was amazing.

I was thinking the same thing... I was going to start a thread called "no-drama Dempster" before seeing your thread.

I have never seen his pitches so crisp. That was the best I have ever seen Ryan Dempster.

Ever since Lou said they will use "closer by committee", Dempster has been solid. Great game today all around. I really had the feeling that if the bullpen could put up zero's, we would come back.

You guys are right...what a game!!!! It had to be one of the best I've ever seen! JJ catch, DLee's HR, Murt's HR and Dempster really had it today. Len and Bob were commenting about how Sept. is always a good month for DLee. Looking back, it's been Rammy's BEST month. Maybe these bats are going to really heat up now, when we need them MOST! We've made it to 1st place without a lot of power from the offense. IMO, if they get hot now, what more could we ask for? :cool:

It is our power that is finally coming through that is helping us win games. It is great to see.

The last month will be exciting to watch. I believe we'll make the playoffs but those will be another beast. My thinking is next year will be better than this year. The same people will be back and their chemistry will be great. I might be looking to far ahead but I know the rest of this year and the next 4-5 years will be exciting years as well.

We still need one big bat somewhere, whether it be CF or RF. Maybe Pie is the answer, he just has not shown it yet. It sort of puts us in a bind for next year.

Craig Monroe could fill this need ifhe shows the ability to hit on a consistent basis.

....I believe we'll make the playoffs...The ONLY way we make the playoffs is winning the division. Right now we're something like 4.5 games out in the wild card.
