So, I am mathematically challenged.... in the best case scenerio...when is the soonest that the Cubs could clinch the division?

Well, best-case scenario would be if the Brewers lose the next three games at Atlanta, and then the Cards take the first three in Milwaukee, while we sweep the Pirates, and then win the first game or two in Florida, so next Wednesday is the soonest we could clinch.

Thanks! Well, the Brewers are facing Hudson and Smoltz.....

How sweet would that be to celebrate a divsion clincher on the turf of the team who killed our dreams in 2003??? I know, probably won't happen that way, but it would be nice. Then we wouldn't have to worry about facing Harang in Cincy!

And the Cubs won, so it's a 3 1/2 game lead and a magic number of 4. Let's hope the Cards can reduce the number to 3 and extend the lead to 4.
