I know it has been an abominable series for us against the Marlins, but let's move forward and scoreboard watch for this series. As of tonight, we are all Padres fans.

You and I should be rooting for the Padres anyway to win the wild card. If they do the Cubbies are here first round. I hope I didn't buy DBacks playoff tickets to see the Brewers.

You're right, I already thought about that. And I do hope those tickets you bought will turn out to be to see the Cubs. I will get my tickets last minute, if and only if, the Cubbies are in it! (That's how it works with my friend who works at Chase Field that I get tickets through).
BTW, Top of the 2nd, no score.

There's a bit of touble right now for the Padres in the 5th. Cassel couldn't get out of the 5th inning, allowing another run so far...
As I'm typing this, Fielder just grounded out to end the threat. The Brewers had the bases loaded with two out and a run in.
Gallardo is now out after being pinch hit by Gross. But Cassell hit Miller, walked Gross, forced Weeks to pop out for the second out of the inning, then Hardy singled in Miller, Meredith relieved Cassell and hit Braun on the first pitch. Then Thatcher got Fielder to ground out.

I don't blame you. Heck, I'm starting to think that fate is starting to smile the Cubs' way. It seems now that when the Cubs do something wrong, the same thing happens to the Brewers.

jeez this game has turned into a marathon. i want the pads to go for these reasons (as petty as some may be)
i would like to see barrett to do well
i cant stand the rockies home run music- its the music from those creepy great america ads
spillbourgs at bat music, its that annoying woo hoo song. i cant deal with that throughout the playoffs. ill be watching whether the cubs go far or not

You have to wonder what Tim McClelland was doing with Holliday lying behind home plate. He must've thought that his hand had touched the plate, but if so, he should've waved the arms out RIGHT AWAY. San Diego has a definate beef with MLB after tonight.
