I can't believe there is such a thing as a Cubs forum and I never thought or knew about it!
I've been a Cubs fan since about 1993, when I watched that awesome movie "taking Care of Business". I instantly became baseball fan and, knowing no other team except for the Angels, became a die-hard Cubbie fan.
Then I first went to the US for a trip to Disney World. (I'm from Germany by the way.) I got an idea of what baseball was and started collecting baseball cards - I'm missing out on about 100 from the 1993 Topps series. When I returned home I wanted to start playing baseball and checked for some local German baseball teams. There was not much of a choice. So I became Outfielder and later First baseman for the Dortmund Brewers (now extinct).
So, that's me. My jersey number is 71, in case you like to know. And I have (once upon a time) created a Cubs website, the CubsCollection, which I gave up a few years ago because of lack of time. If you like to check it out, go to www.geocities.com/reg_71/
