The New James Bond

Anyone seen the new James Bond movie? It looks pretty sick. Never was a big fan of Pierce Brosnan, but this new guy might be better.

Oh yea, I saw it the day it came out, and it's pretty awesome. The new Bond is a total badass. Now, he doesn't really have gadgets in this one, but it's mostly because he just becomes Bond in this one, so don't let it get you down, it's still a great movie.

I'm so glad they got rid of the gadgets, they had become an utter joke (the Invisible car in D.A.D....?), and a mobile and a laptop do pretty much everything these days. Hilariously bad product placement though.

If you liked the film you really should get the Fleming book (I expect there's a novelization of the movie too, but damned if I'm gonna read it), it's awesome, and even more chilling than the film.

The only thing that annoys me about Daniel Craig is the fact that he's English, up til now there had never been two Bonds from the same country. Connery (Scotland), Lazenby (Australia), Moore (England), Dalton (Wales), Brosnan (Ireland). I was holding out hope for the new Bond to be from one of the other former colonies, maybe an Indian, but apparently the producers had other ideas.

My boss is a huge bond fan.. and he's pretty excited about this one due to the fact that it was the first bond novel
