He actually blocks the plate like an actual catcher and gets hosed over by the ump
BTW What ever happened to the days of running catchers over if they are blocking the plate?? Holiday probably would be been less-ihurtingif he would have slid like a man:D

Yeah it definately aun't his year.I wish Barrett was still a Cub.I still don't think it was a good move.We could've got Kendall w/o trading him.I don't think Kendall is any better that Barrett.

getting rid of barret was a GREAT move... im sorry to say this becuz i loved him as well but defensivly he was horible... and do you realize that the padres had to fight for a wildcard spot because barrett played for them... their record with him in the game was disgusting i read somwhere it was like 8-20+

Barrett gave an interview with one of the chicago papers...and he wants to come back to the Cubs....however, I think that he has a snowballs chance in he11 to come back. I did like Michael...but I see why he is gone. I think Soto will be our catcher next year.

Fine with me if Soto starts next year and Kendall the back up catcher.

Couldnt agree more. Regarding Barrett, had he fielded the throw cleanly, there would be no controversy. Yeah it was a tough hop, but he just showed his lack of defensive prowess there. And, his robust 244 average doesnt compensate. I did like MB while he was here though.

Yeah I liked him too(MB),still have his original # 5 jersey, but it was time for him to move on,the team was better off without him.

It was a tough throw to field
Barrett blocked the plate perfectly. Holliday should have bowled him over Pete Rose-style and then there would have been no debate.
